This is the first day of the 30 day Blogger Challenge, the challenge is to do one post every day, following the theme given. Day one is ‘The Story or my Life’

‘The story of my life? The story of my life won’t even get us out of Chicago. Nothing’s happened to me yet. That’s why I’m going to New York.’
Sally Albright, ‘When Harry Met Sally’.

‘Everyone around me is either getting married, getting pregnant or getting promoted. And I, am getting coffee.’
Rachel Greene, ‘Friends’
That is what my life feels like right now, but this, is the real deal, this is the story of my life, here goes….

With the thick mist of hairspray still sticky in the air and Sinead O’Connor’s ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ at number 1, i was born, just inside the 90’s to a 28 year old paraplegic & 25 year old fork lift truck driver, in Bradford, where both parents and grandparents were born & raised. I didn’t have an average childhood, with my mum in and out of hospital constantly and my dad working round the clock whilst trying to raise two girls. My childhood taught me strength, perseverance & the value of money. My family rallied around me & my sister to help out our parents, meaning I have always been, & remain to be, very close to other family members such as my many uncles and aunts. This also made me & my sister inseparable. I realised quite young that I didn’t have to care what people think, and I never have done since. My passion in life has always been art. Nothing else compared. I followed my heart, studied hard & now I have an Applied Art GCSE, Pre BA HONS Fine Art NVQ & a Fine Art Degree, have sold countless artworks, had many exhibitions & work in a contemporary gallery. I’ve had a job since the age of 15. I fell in love young, when that ended 4 years later I realised I had totally lost myself. I was 21 & I didn’t know who I was. i spent the next 6 months rebuilding myself. And fell in love again, with me. And then with a fork lift truck driver from Bradford. I now work on Tong St in Bradford, where my mum worked, and her mother before her. I spend my life doing the things I love, with the people I love. That’s the story of my life.
